Clarinet Jury

His students are winners in almost all competitions for clarinetist in the country and abroad.

Djuro Pete secondary music education gained at the music school F. Kuhac in Osijek, Croatia in class of Vjekoslav Buric. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Mihajlo Kelblijo (1984), and master's degree in 2009 in the class of Nikola Srdić. Besides a number of solo performances and recitals, he has performed as a soloist with the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Pécs (Hungary), Vojvodina Youth Philharmonic, and the Chamber Orchestra of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He played as a soloist in the orchestra of the Opera Theatre in Osijek. He has recorded for radio and televison stations in the country and abroad. In 2016 he recorded as a joint project CD Classical music for children. As a student he won several first prizes at the competitions in the former Yugoslavia (Novi Sad, Sarajevo) and the second prize at the Young Artists Competition of Yugoslavia, Zagreb (1983). His educational work began at the music school Josip Slavenski in Novi Sad, and since 1987 he works as professor of clarinet at the music school Isidor Bajic in Novi Sad. With his students he won dozens of top awards and prizes at national and international competitions and festivals.

His students are winner in almost all competitions for clarinetist in the country and abroad (Romania, Slovenia). He attended classes with eminent world-renowned professors and artists (M. Arignon, B. Smith, M. Bekavec, Z. Szatmari). Participate in the work as a full-time professor in the international camp and summer school for clarinet on the mountain Gučevo which is held every year in the month of August. Perennial participant in the work of the jury of the Republican contest, as well as chairman or member of the jury in national competitions for wind instruments. He is the organizer of numerous concerts of young clarinetist in order to promote and popularize the clarinet and classical music. For his work was awarded the annual prize of the Association of Music and Ballet Schools of Serbia. Achieved significant contacts in international cooperation with colleagues from many countries of Europe and USA.
