Jasna Petrovic was born in Pozarevac, Serbia. She graduated at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 1988 under Stephen Rabuzin. She attended seminars of H. Bauman, F. Orval, F. Picke. From 1987 to 2003 she has worked as a horn player in the Symphony Orchestra of the Army of Serbia. She played the solo sections with the most famous domestic and foreign conductors at concerts in Austria, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria and throughout the country. She is a regular member of the juries at the national wind instruments competitions.
She achieved outstanding performances in various chamber ensembles. Since 1988 she has been working as a teacher in music schools Vladimir Djordjevic in Belgrade and Jovan Bandur in Pancevo. Since 2003 she is full-time employed in the music school Josip Slavenski in Belgrade, and since 2007 and the Music School Davorin Jenko. Since 2000 she also worked as assistant conductor for Youth Symphony Orchestra of Serbia. As an educator she has achieved remarkable results and won numerous awards at the competitions in the country and abroad.
