Nenad Mirić was born in Belgrade. Obtained his MA degree in 1979 from the Faculty of music in Belgrade. Principal bassoon of Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra for many years (1976-2002). In Dominican Republic he has been involved with National Symphonic orchestra, and he taught bassoon at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Santo Domingo. Frequent solo appearances with renowned orchestras (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sarajevo, Dubrovnik).
He made recordings for radio and television stations. As a member of various chamber ensembles he performed in country and abroad. He has been juror of numerous national and international competitions, both bassoon and chamber music disciplines. His students have won numerous first prizes in country and internationally. He was decorated with the prizes for his artistic and pedagogical achievements. In 2006 and 2009 he was given the Prize of Association of music and ballet pedagogues of Serbia and in 2012 the Prize of the Association of music and ballet schools of Serbia.
