Zeljko Vlaho graduated from the department of composition with prof. Vojin Komadina. For three years he was an assistant at the Music Academy in Podgorica (1987-1989), for harmonies and harmonic analysis, and ten years a lecturer at the Faculty of Natural Science and Education in Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina). He continued his studies at the specialist studies with Krzysztof Penderecki, Luciano Berio, Elena Nikolayevna Abuzova, Dusan Radic, Toschie Hosokawa and Heinz Holliger. As head of the chamber ensemble won numerous awards at national and international competitions. He was a member of the juries at the international competitions in Makarska, Madeira (Portugal), Kavadarci (Macedonia) Perast (Montenegro) and Belgrade.
He is a head of the Dalmatian choir with whom he won awards at prestigious festivals. Last award for best composition and arrangement at the festival in Perast (Montenegro, 2016). Vlaho is one of the authors of the curriculum for music schools in Croatia and organizer of numerous EU projects. He has published two collections of composition Songs for voice and piano miniatures for piano Dodekomania. For 15 years he is director of the music school in Makarska (Croatia).
